Histogram...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Have you ordered the data for the options yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly I have no idea how to do this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, can you explain it to me?

OpenStudy (hba):

So stats :P Do you get the hint provided?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Umm no, I don't understand histograms.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

If you look at the bar at the left end labelled with the class interval 0.00 to 0.99 you can see that the height of the bar is 7. This means that the frequency of data points in the range 0.00 to 0.99 is 7; in other words there are 7 occurrences of data values in that range in the total data. Are you with me so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok yeah, I'm with you.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Good! So if you put the data in each option in ascending order of value you will be able to quickly find which set of data values matches the histogram. I will order the data for the first option and post it. Please wait a little.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I got it, thank you so much!!!!! I guess I just needed some encouragment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @hba also:)

OpenStudy (kropot72):

You're welcome. I suggest that you make a table with the class intervals as headings: 0.00~0.99 1.00~1.99 2.00~2.99 3.00~3.99 4.00~4.99 5.00~5.99 2 1 1 6 1 0 I have put the frequencies of data values in the class intervals for the set of data in the first option. As you can see the frequency of values in the class interval 0.00~0.99 is 2. Obviously this does not match the frequency of 7 for that class interval in the histogram. Can you carry on now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I can thank you!

OpenStudy (kropot72):

You're welcome :)
