When a pendulum is at the center position, what is true of the kinetic and potential energy? A. both kinetic energy and potential energy are their minimum values B.both potential energy and kinetic energy are their maximum values C. potential energy is maximum and kinetic is minimum D. kinetic energy is maximum and potential energy is minimum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C. potential energy is maximum and kinetic is minimum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D. Because the position of the pendulum bob at the center is zero, from the vertical line I mean, the Potential energy will be zero. However because the mechanical energy is conserved the Kinetic energy must get bigger (sort of like balancing out)

okay
