can someone check my answer ? The graph below is represented by which system of inequalities? -4x + 2y >= 8 y < -x + 4 -4x + 2y < 8 y <= -x + 4 -4x + 2y >= 8 y > -x + 4 -4x + 2y >= 8 y < -x + 4

-4x + 2y >= 8 y < -x + 4 my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im pretty sure you got it right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u sure ?

OpenStudy (zehanz):

The line y=-x+4 is dotted, so look for y < -x+4: >> option A or D. (0,0) is in the shaded area. Try if it fits the other inequality of A and D: A: -4*0 + 2*0 = 0 >=8 FALSE D: same as the one at A.. .hmm, there doesn't seem to be any good option: Try (0,0) with both inequalities: the >=8 options are wrong. That only leaves option B, but that says y<= -x+4, so that would not give a dotted line! I say: they are all wrong!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well which would be best ?

OpenStudy (zehanz):

If you can live with the dotted line, then I'd pick B.

oh okay thanks.
