Surface Area

zepdrix (zepdrix):

The formula for Surface Area of a Square Pyramid is,\[\large A=2bs+b^2\]Where \(\large b\) is the base length, and \(\large s\) is the slant height. Hmm this problem was given to us with really bad letters, so this might be a little confusing. Our Surface Area will be given by,\[\large Area=2SA+S^2\] Where \(\large S\) is the base length and \(\large A\) is the slant height. From here we can plug in the pieces that they provided.\[\large 333ft^2=2(9ft)A+(9ft)^2\]And do a little math to solve for \(\large A\).

zepdrix (zepdrix):

If you're having trouble solving for \(\large A\) from this point, try ignoring the units. That should help a little bit.

Understand what to do from here? =o

Yes, thanks for the formula

I think I can get it from here
