find the derivative of f(x) = sqrt(x^2 + 4) d/dx(sqrt(x^2 + 4) = 1/2sqrt(x^2 + 4)(d/dx(x^2 + 4)) = d/dx(x^2) over 2sqrt(x^2 + 4) = 2x/2sqrt(x^2 + 4) = x/sqrt(x^2 + 4)
