Which of the following shows the step necessary to solve the equation x + 4 1/2 = 6 1/6 and its correct solution?
are you missing part of this question? it says which of the following shows the steps nessary
lol sorry
add 4 1/4 to both sides;10 2/3 subtract 4 1/2 from both sides; 1 2/3 subtract 6 1/6 from both sides; 1 2/3 add 6 1/6 to both sides; 10 2/3
I will eliminate the two wrong ones for you the answer will not come out to be 10 2/3 you can figure this out by looking at your questions if you take 10 2/3 + 4 1/2 = would come out to be 15 2/3 which is not 6 1/ 6. However if you take 1 2/3 + 4 1/2 you do come up with 6.16 . Which is in fact 6 1/6
Let me know if your still stumped I want to see if you know what to do from here
I just finished that wasn't correct D:
really what was the answer?
Idk I chose yours I am home school so it doesn't tell me if I retake the test
that sucks what answer did you put down
I didn't give an answer yet was just removing the two wrong ones but apparently it seems I was wrong 0.o which is very odd
it should have been subtract 4 1/2 from both sides; 1 2/3 because the problem x + 4 1/2 = 6 1/6 you would subtract 4 1/2 from 6 1/6 so 6 1/6 - 4 1/2 would come out to be 1 2/3
