Please help me solve this linear equation 7x+4y=26 3x-8y=-18
Do you know anything about how to solve linear equations. @FranBerry
yes, I'm just checking my work because I keep getting answers that I don't think are right @Comm.Dan
Alright, tell me where you get confused and why because if you do that helps me to understand to help you learn @FranBerry
Is -3.0909 the correct solution for the x in this problem? @Comm.Dan
Give me a second, I am going to work this out @FranBerry
alright @Comm.Dan
I have a question for you @FranBerry Tell me how you solved it. Did you solve it by using the formula for Point Slope Form or did you use the formula for Slope Intercept Form?
I used substitution to solve it, so I used the formula for Slope intercept form @Comm.Dan
Alright, I will look into that right now in my textbook. @FranBerry
ok, thanks!
No problem @FranBerry
Are these both part of the same problem or are they two separate linear equations? @FranBerry
both the same problem
Ok. Thanks. I will type up an example that is related to this problem out of my book. @FranBerry
Ok. Here it is.
ok, was the answer I said before correct?
\[x+4y=6{x+y=3 } \]
Wait, I am solving it. @FranBerry

Thank you @some_someone , I guess elimination with multiplication is more efficient.

solution: (2, 3)
Yes it is @FranBerry
