once again, we use trigonometry, since we are looking for x which is opposite to angle, we will use tan, TOA
|dw:1362076830261:dw|
OpenStudy (anonymous):
tan(tetha) = opposite/adjacent
tan(35) = X/23
0.7 = X/23
0.7 x 23 = X
X = 16.1
question ? :D

tips of choosing which trigo we need to use is
1) see where's the angle
2) see where's given length
3) see where's length we want to find
then, refer to 2 and 3, use SOH/CAH/TOA to which 1 suite your problems the best :)
