Factor each trinomial:

Here's what I've done so far:
6y^2+7y-24
6y^2+(3+4)y-24
6y^2+3y+4y-24
(6y^2+3y)+(4y-24)
and so I'm getting 3y(3y+1)+4(y-6) but shouldn't the two parentheses match by now?

Could someone tell me where I'm going wrong?
