Not sure how to start this problem: Johnny Kim wants to download a video file he made from his online storage account to save to his friends' laptop. His friend Sergio's home wireless internet speed is on average 520 kB/s. The file size is 432.1 MB. How long would it take for Johnny Kim to download the file to his home computer? They want editing the video so they can up load it to Youtube in 2 hours.
first you would need to convert MB to kB
okay...1000kB/1MB
there are 1024 kB/ 1 MB
ok
432.1 MB * (1024 kB/1MB) * = 442470 kB * (1s/ 520 kB) = 850.905 seconds
this way you see, the units cancel out so seconds is on top and kB is on bottom, multiplied by the 442470 kB on top so all you have left is the seconds. so can it download in under 2 hours? convert the seconds to hours
850.905seconds * (1 min / 60 seconds) * (1hour / 60 min) = 0.23 hours
the trick to starting this one is making sure all your units are the same
