I won't tell you the answer. However, I WILL tell you how to THINK. Suppose you're painting a room with 3 layers of paint. Which layer of paint would be on the BOTTOM: The oldest layer or the newest layer? If you decided to add a 4th coat, where would you apply that coat; underneath the bottom(oldest) layer or over the top(newest) layer? Sedimentation is nothing but mother nature adding layers of paint to the surface of the earth. Now as for evolution, in which layers would you expect to find the remains of the oldest critters: the oldest layers or the newest ones? This is not a trick question; trust your instincts.
