3. A model rocket is launched vertically at v0 = 55 m/s. It accelerates at 2.2 m/s^2 until the engine stops at 150 m above ground. (a) What is the maximum height that is attained by the rocket? (b) How long is the rocket in the air?

once the engine stops, the rocket will continue upwards, but it will begin to slow as its only influence is now the acceleration of gravity (9.8m/s2) use the equations of motion to find the vf of the powered phase, which becomes the v0 of the freefall phase
