What is the logical expression of the following circuit? (Answer included): http://i.imgur.com/xJTnN8m.jpg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you want an explanation on why it is that answer?

OpenStudy (s3a):

Yes, please. Someone had explained to me before but, I was tired and forgot everything. :( I'm confused as to where I look in the lines and how I get A, B, A', B', multiplication or addition out of the diagram.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm... I'm not familiar with that symbol (the over/underlined double X). Is it something like a MOSFET?

OpenStudy (s3a):

Hello, stolema. :) I don't know what a MOSFET is. Perhaps this PDF from my class could help you help me. (The password is "openstudy" without the quotes.): http://temp-share.com/show/HKdP6sUpA What you're referring to is called an X-Gate in the pdf linked above.

@s3a "I'm confused as to where I look in the lines and how I get A, B, A', B', multiplication or addition out of the diagram" There is no multiplication or addition in your schematic. In boolean logic, the "+" means "logical OR" and the "*" means "logical AND". Also, the apostrophe means "logical NOT".

OpenStudy (s3a):

Hi, qweqwe123123123123111. When I said multiplication/addition, I WAS referring to the logical equivalent. Basically, the trouble I'm having is with converting the diagram into a logical equation. (I remember that I have to somehow follow the lines or something but, I don't remember what I must do, specifically.)
