@Luis_Rivera when you were calculating the area of the circle you actually were finding the circumference of the circle

Area of Square = 4^2 = 16
Area of the circle = pi*r^2 = pi*2^2= pi * 4 = 12.56

Area of shaded region = 16-12.56 = 3.43
