PLEASE HELP!!!! MEDAL &&ND FAN!!!! A triangular flowerbed is being planted inside a circular area of grass. What is the area of the entire circular region (including the flowerbed)? (Use 3.14 for π.)

10,562.96 ft2 182.12 ft2 2,640.74 ft2 91.06 ft2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Use the formula A = pi*r^2 where the radius in this case is r = 58/2 = 29

I got 2640.74...... But it says including the flower bed which is the triangle. and 2640.74 is the area of just the circle.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the triangle is completely contained within the circle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so the entire area is just the area of the circle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if it said "excluding the triangular flowerbed", then you would subtract the area of the triangle from the area of the circle but that's not the case here

Okay, i got it. Thank you soo much(;
