Human and Physical system in Florida? Or some examples
Can you clarify what the question is?
Thinking about what you have learned in this lesson, take an in-depth look at your hometown. Using the terms listed below, write a one-paragraph description of the town where you currently live. Please include the name of your city and state in your description. Place Region Relative location Physical system Human system
I'll be glad to help you with questions about my home state. But I need to know what information your requesting first.
I need some examples of Physical system and Human system
Well a physical system that is well known would be the Everglades, and to a lesster extent... the Swuannee river. An example of a human system would be something like the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant. What subject are you specifically working on so I can tailor my help to your subject and produce better results?
U.S History and what is the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant.
It's a nuclear power plant that is located in Crystal River, Florida. Here are some definitions that might help you with your question. The purpose of the third essential element of geography is to identify how physical processes shape the Earth’s surface and how they interact with plant and animal life to create, sustain, and modify ecosystems. The purpose of the fourth essential element of geography is to show how people are central to geography in that human activities help shape the Earth’s surface, human settlements and structures.
So with those definitions in mind. What physical and human systems can you think of in Florida?
I can't think of a human system other than the one you said. But for physical system I got the (KOE) system which is the Kissimmee river, Okeechobee, and Everglades.
Also what would be a relative location?
@jazy help please
@Preetha help please?
@Notamathgenius
Sorry, power went out (talk about coincedences). Anyway the Crystal River power plant was a power plant that cracked and they shut it down. Due to the radioactive material introduced there, it is a human system because it effects its environment and was not caused naturally.
And the KOE system is a perfect example of a natural system. It is caused naturally and effects the Florida ecosystem.
Are there anymore physical systems
Well we do have dams all over this state, the big one that comes to my mind is the Talquin dam located on Lake Talquin which is about an hour from where I grew up (Tallahassee). This is a human made structure that effects the lake it dams.
The everglades have also been drained in the name of flood control, that would be another expample of a human system.
ok thanks! Also what would be a relative location?
A relative location for Talquin would be between Tallahassee and Quincy. The everglades... idk... lol
