Why electric field inside a conductor is zero?

The mutual repulsion of like charges from Coulomb's Law demands that the charges be as far apart as possible, the surface of the conductor is the further possible. (Sorry for my english).

The electric field inside a conductor is not always zero.The electric field(inside) is zero only for conductors in electrostatic equilibrium.(Also sorry for my english)
