Please solve each of the inequalities below and graph the solution on a number line. show which way it will go and which way it will be shaded. 1. x – 3 > –9 2. –2x + 1 ≤ –11 3. 10 < –3x + 1 4. 2(x + 5) > 8x – 8 5. –2(x – 3) ≥ 5 – (x + 3)

OpenStudy (helpsos):

solving inequalities is just like solving equalities... so for the first question what do you think you should do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would i guess add 3 to both sides

OpenStudy (helpsos):

yup that is correct :)

OpenStudy (helpsos):

so then your left with x> -6

OpenStudy (helpsos):

you would graph it like this... |dw:1362174702071:dw|
