Hi...I need help figuring out why WolframAlpha says the integral of 2x^2 = (x(rootx^2))/2...according to my calculations it should be [root2(x)]/2...can anyone help? Screenshot available! Thanks!

sorry, I wrote the question wrong...will repost

according to the pic you posted i understand sqrt x^2=x then x*x =x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{x^2}=x \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x \sqrt{x^2} }{ \sqrt{2} }=\frac{ (x)(x) }{ \sqrt{2}} since \sqrt{x^2 }=(x^2)^\frac{ 1 }{ 2}\]
