If an experiment does not confirm the hypothesis it was designed to test, which of the following is true of the experiment?

It'd be cool if we could actually see the choices that came with this question. The simple, open-ended answer is that if an experiment does not confirm the hypothesis, then the hypothesis was...wrong. lol. Just wrong.

the hypothessmght be wrong or there may have been a big error in the experiment and it was not conducted properly, thus leading it to not proving the hypothesis.
