Real life math problem. I'm going to describe what I experienced and I want help designing a series of equations to satisfy my curiosity. Anybody interested?

I was doing lat pull downs at the gym. The machine had 1 pulley and 100. I moved to another lat pull down machine with 2 pulleys attached to the weights and at the same 100 mark I could not do it. I want to find out if two pulleys creates double the resistance

For the sake of filling in the unknowns lets say the bar is negligible and each pulley has the same amount of friction and wire tension
