A matrix will be noninvertible if the determinant is 0. This clear from the second row.

OpenStudy (erinweeks):

so what would the answer be im confused kind of .. So the matrix has no inverse because why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because the determiant is zero. Try working that into the equation of inverting a matrix and you get some division by zero.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

One entire row is zero. The determinant is zero.

you could also say its singular...
