03.06] Use this image to answer the following question. Which of the following is a true statement? Marcy wants to spend more time at work. Marcy wants to spend more time at school. Marcy has the most time for college when she works 6 shifts. Marcy is most efficient when she works 8 shifts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because he or she is basically coming up with ideas for a restaurant.

OpenStudy (jennychan12):

I considered C but i don't think it may be correct

OpenStudy (jennychan12):

oh. that's what i thought too :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought that because of point A . but the last test this was on i marked that she wanted to spend more time at work and i got it wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C and D makes since though ?

OpenStudy (jennychan12):

yeah, it's definitely not a or b. (Marcy wants to spend more time at work. Marcy wants to spend more time at school.)

OpenStudy (jennychan12):

maybe it's point d, since it's like in the middle of the graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe ..

Use this image to answer the following question. The ice cream shop needs 5 pounds of strawberries for every gallon of strawberry ice cream. The shop chose to produce 4 gallons of chocolate ice cream. How many pounds of strawberries should the shop purchase? 24 30 40 60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you need to produce on the curve in order to be efficient. Therefore, to produce 4 gallons of chocolate ice-cream, you need 12 gallons of strawberry ice-cream... However, you need 5 gallons for each 1 gallon of strawberry ice-cream, so multply 5 by 12, and your answer is there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And for the other producer curve, with the college, you must answer it as D. It says Marcy has THE MOST time for College if she works 6 shifts... but she does not... If she did, she would not be going to work at all, as that would mean she has the utter-most least time for work. However, the point on the curve is halfway when she works 8 shfits, and so, she works 8 shifts and has 4 college classes (which is the most efficient, according to the diagram)
