When eighteen year old Aaron received a large inheritance from his grandfather, he was tempted to purchase a sports car. Aaron decided, instead, to deposit his inheritance into an investment account for his college education. Aaron demonstrates a: weak id. strong id. strong ego. strong external locus of control. weak internal locus of control.
i put a strong ego but then i started thinking wouldn't that mean he has a 'weak id' because if so then there would be 2 answers to this, what exactly do the last two options mean?
First off, I agree with you that the answer is a "strong ego." It wouldn't necessarily mean he has a weak Id. It would just mean that his Ego was strong enough to balance out his Id, no matter how weak or strong it was. ~~~~~~~~~ The "Locus of Control" is how we believe our lives are controlled. How our fates are run. There are two types of loci: 1. INTERNAL Locus of Control 2. EXTERNAL Locus of Control. ~~~~~~~~~~~ If we have a strong INTERNAL locus of control, then we strongly believe that we control our own lives, and our own decisions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ If we have a strong EXTERNAL locus of control, we believe that our lives are, for the most part, out of our control. We believe that our lives are controlled more by luck, than by ourselves.
gotcha, thanks =)
