I'm trying to write a short story about an animal that doesn't fit in with its crowd but wants to be another animal... any ideas on the two animals i could use?

U can say abt a street dog who is in a real bad state...nd that he wants to be a human who is a social animal...sound funny but can do

It could be about a sloth that wants friends but none of the other sloths want to be friends because they all just want to sleep so the sloth  wants to be a monkey because monkeys seem very friendly and talkative.

How about a person who is outcasted because of physical appearance, or how they look. They have this favorite animal, and have been fascinated about them every since he/she could remember. They want to become that animal so much. Your thesis could be like 
"Have you ever felt like you are a (animal, wolf, monkey, seal, ext.) trapped in a humans body?" I don't know, but it is a start.
