well stuff to be used are as follows,
1. before intercourse/ coitus , make sure that the both the partners are perfect and not ill.
2. Use condoms for protection, generally for male but female condoms are also available in market so for dual protection it can be used.
3. also a few more .
4. use pills.

reasons to use this are
1. avoids unwanted pregnancy.
2. protects from sexually transmitted disease
3. makes healthy sexual life that fundamentally holds healthy mind.
4. protects from unwanted stress, for example if a guy gets to know that her girl is pregnant he will be heavily stressed
5. protects from risk of any disease that could be transmitted by intercourse
