What is a benefit of using renewable energy resources

In contrast to normal energy sources, renewable, e.g. Wind energy, solar engergy, water turbines,... are sources of energy that will probably never run out of supplies. There will always be a sun (well at least another million years) and wind and water will stay available as well. There is a second benefit that renewable energy is mostly good for the environment.
