Eliminate the parameter. x = 3 cos t, y = 3 sin t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any idea how to do this yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rearrange the terms to get... x/3 = cost y/3 = sint Now just square and add the two ... t would be eliminated...

i dont understand

Explain what is confusing you... Here 't' is a parameter which is eliminated... When you add, the L.H.S would be cos^2t + sin^2 t =1... thus no terms of 't'...
