find length of arc JL http://www.usatestprep.com/modules/gallery/files/14/1413/1413.gif

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Arc length = 2*pi*r* (angle of arc/360) Here, r = 2, pi is a constant and we will use 3.14 to represent it. Angle of arc = 125. Now we plug the numbers in and solve. Arc length = 2*3.14*2*(125/360) = 12.56 * (125 / 360) = 4.361 The arc length is just a portion of the circumference. So all we do to find its length is we first find the circumference of the circle, and then multiply that by the angle subtended by the arc. If you think about that, it will all make sense to you.
