Use the Equation function as mentioned, or type in the code manually: \[\sqrt{25}\] |dw:1362343333658:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i add an exponent to that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After you type in the square root function, click on the exponential function. It will open up a bracket for you to type in. Or again, you can do it manually by adding ^ { # } after the square root function. \[\sqrt{25}^{5}\] |dw:1362343668002:dw|
