Where is the question? I can't find it.

OpenStudy (math_bender_15):

\[\sqrt{8y+11}=\sqrt{4y+6}\]

OpenStudy (math_bender_15):

find y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K so, first we get rid of the square roots by squaring both sides. When we square both sides, we get:\[8y+11=4y+6\]Now we simply rearrange and solve for y.\[4y=-5 \rightarrow y=-\frac{ 5 }{ 4 }\]

thank you i knew i had to square the sides but i just didnt understand completely now i do. :)
