Ok the ^3 is messing me up. But I think opinion 1 is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the function for x. then change all the x's to y's and all the y's to x's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its actually option 2. let me explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = (x/8)^(1/3) -4 y+4 = (x/8)^(1/3) (y+4)^3 =(x/8) [8*(y+4)^3]=x change the y's for x's and the x's for y's [8*(x+4)^3]=y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

equate the function to y. interchange the variable and make y the subject
