40x = 55(x-1)

// 40x because the bus is driving 40 miles an hour. multiplied by the number of hour.s
// 55(x-1) because the delivery van is driving 55 miles per hour. multiplied by the number of hours. the number of hours is x-1, because the delivery van traveled 1 less hour than the bus.
