HELP A cube has side length 18 kilometers. What is its surface area? A. 216 km2 B. 432 km2 C. 1,944 km2 D. 5,832 km2

OpenStudy (raden):

what, 18 km ?? it is a giant cube :P use the formula SA = 6s^2

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

That is one big cube. Anyway, formula for the surface area of a cube is just \[\large 6s^2\] Where s is the length of one of the sides.

OpenStudy (raden):

with s is side of cube

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[18^{2} * 6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@terenzreignz said it much more eloquently than I did... :-)

OpenStudy (raden):

6 x 18 x 18 = .... ?
