Article Five of the U.S. Constitution describes the amendment process. This power best reflects the principle of... ?
Hi, I saw that you asked me to help you with your question. The reason I have not answered is because I do not know this material right off hand meself. Give me a few minutes to look up the answer and I will come back with a reply soon.
ohh ok thankss :)
Okay I've read up on the material. Do you have any choices I can look at?
yah: republicanism natural rights federalism rule of law
i think is federalism... but im not really sure tho
Aha, this makes a lot more sense now!
It wouldn't be federalism... Federalism- division of power between national and state governments. For example, only the federal legislature can declare war, only state governments can conduct elections, but both levels of government can levy and collect taxes.
What would be your second choice?
mmmm.... true true... what bout republicanism?
Republicanism refers to a specific type of democracy. We are a democratically elected representative republic. Nope... lets keep looking.
wow... what does actually article 5 says?
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the
first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.
it will be rule of law then
Yep, that would be what I would put. Good job!
wow... thanks a lot for your help :)
