A. Succession - That could take more than a million years if it needed to...
B. Deforestation - Deforestation can take as little as an hour, depending on the size of the forest.
C. Global Warming - GW is taking quite a long time. It may not even happen.
D. Regrowth after volcanic eruption - If a plant or area comes in contact with lava or debri from a volcanic eruption, it could take 20 or so years for anything to even start growing.
