Im new to this so Im not sure if anyone will reply right away, but It would be great if someone could help me right now.....

Directrix (directrix):

If triangle ABC ~ triangle DBE, then by the definition of similar triangles, the corresponding sides are in proportion.

Directrix (directrix):

Because the triangle similarity statement is given, we know which vertices are corresponding.

Directrix (directrix):

triangle ABC ~ triangle DBE means AB/DB = BC/BE = AC/DE Fill in for the measures you know and figure out which two equal ratios will form an equation you can use to solve for x.

Directrix (directrix):

AB/DB = BC/BE (4x+2)/(4x+4) = 3/5 Cross multiply and solve for x.
