The red cards are positive and the black cards are negative. The columns, going up and down...the lower card value equals the sum of the two upper cards. 1st column : 10 - 7 = 3 2nd column : 2 + 4 = 6 3rd column : 8 + 4 = 12 (there is no 12, so 11 would be a Jack and 12 would be a queen. 4th column : King - 2 = jack 5th column : - 6 + 8 = -2 (black 2) 6th column : 4 + 5 = 9 The only reason I think it is a club is because the other two cards are clubs. Otherwise, it could also have be a 9 of spades.
