Angular Momentum Help Needed!

geerky42 (geerky42):

geerky42 (geerky42):

This is strangest problem I've ever seen. I have no idea where to start...

geerky42 (geerky42):

Do you have any idea? @yrelhan4

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

i think i do. give me some time.

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

hmm. step 1: convert rev/min into rad/sec step 2: find the force exerted by the gas. F=dP/dt = vdm/dt step 3: find the torque due to ejection of gas due to both the nozzles. = 2F.r step 4: put this equal to I*alpha where I is moment of inertia and find alpha step 5: apply w(final) = alpha*t and find t.

geerky42 (geerky42):

This has nothing to do with angular momentum, lol. Thanks.

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

haha. no. you're welcome.
