What is the vertex of a parabola in the form of the equation y=a(x – h)2 + k?

The vertex is point (h, k) which is is in the form (x, y), so "h" is your "x" value and "k" is your "y" value.

And if "a" is positive, that vertex is your lowest point for "y" in the parabola. If "a" is negative, it is a high point.
