Whoever gives me the RIGHT answer will get a medal and if I'm not your fan already I will become your fan <3 Explain how events such as the Vietnam War and Watergate affected the American public’s opinion of the U.S government.
Distrust against the government because they were not told all the facts and lied to the people keep secrets
Honestly I think the real reason was because America was killing innocent people and The goverment would give the press what the Govermet wanted not what the press wanted to hear which sturred up lots of problems.
That isn't even relevant to the question ...
well the common american suggest that the vietnam war was unnecessary due to the fact that no one really won. according to most economic experts the USA only goes to wars in which we can gain something, for example, we went to afghanistan and the middle east lots of oil to offer, but why wont we help little villages in africa that are subject to regime attacks? most african mines are owned by europeans or africans not really much to offer. after the vietnamiese war the USA came up wiht nothing although most americans think we helped those vietnamiese in distress which we did, but americans are all about stock and what we have so alot of people during this time shuned the government as unnecessary war starters, its a big debate because theres people who believe war is to help people and eliminate threat and theres othersw ho believe war is to kill and gain, so it is very questionable to the common american which one the USA government is. :)
