Describe the graphs of the functions f(x) = 2x - 1 and g(x) = -2x - 1. Compare and contrast the domain and range of f(x) and g(x).

plug in numbers(domain) and see what you get for answers (range) and see what you get

The two graphs have opposite slope. For f(x), m = 2, which means that the rise is 2 and run is 1. This means for every 2 units the graph goes up, it goes 1 unit to the right.. For g(x) however, m = -2, which means that the rise is -2 and run is 1. This means that for every 2 units the graph goes up, it goes 1 unit to the right. Graphing the two graphs shows that the two graphs are really reflections of each other in the y-axis. The domain of both functions is: x element R, because both of them exist for every x-value. The range also for both is y element R, because graphing them shows that if the graphs were to infinitely continue, they would always taken on every y-value on both the positive and negative sides.
