I have a math question for anybody that can help me :) IT IS TOUGH so only people who know geometry!!thnx (:
In the figure below, the length of CB is 64 units and the length of BG is 137 units. What is the length of EA?
first, determine the length of AG
AG = BG - BA
okay what would be BA?
I know that BG is 137
with BA = BC (because the triangle ABC is issoseles right triangle)
okay.....so......would I use a square root or something??
YES!! I do understand that part (:
opppss damn, typo AG = BG - BA AG = 137 - 64 = 73
okay I am following you!! lol :)
now, lets going to triangle of AGE
okay so after we figure out the AGE side then..we add 73??
remember that the property of right triangle 30-60-90, the proportion sides infront angles 30-60-90 is 1 : sqrt(3) : 2
yes I do remember learning about that so...then it would be 73 square root of three??
AG is side infront angle 30, while AE is side infront angle 90. so, just multiplied by 2 from side AG to get AE
AE = 2 * AG = 2 * 73 = 146
I understand now (: thank you so much for your help :) I will give you a medal and become your fan :D
glad can help u :D
have a good evening :) and thanks again (:
