Can someone help me...! The early American authors of the Articles of Confederation wanted to preserve the states' sovereignty. explain why would this have been advantageous. I can give you an idea: With the Articles of Confederation there was a weak central government that granted states sovereignty. So states could make laws that would benefit their own territory. Like in the south no tariffs would be enforced since their economic relies on agriculture and would only hurt them. There would be a need to respect other's state's laws respect the territory. The bad thing about this is that some of these things would lead to sectionalism because of split views on certain manners. The central government has the power to make laws, but no military to enforce them so they had no real power. Shay's rebellion would be the perfect example that shows that the AOC was inefficient.
