I think they do everyone changes every so often years such as me when I was young I grew up in a island near japan so i listened to japanese music when i got older I got into rock and screamo and now I like indie and jpop music if this is what you where asking? lol

when i was younger i only listened to hip-hop/rap but now i listen to ANYTHING with meaning. if you listen to hip-hop nowadays you understand what i mean. everyone has their own opinion about rap but in my opinion i love rap (or hip-hop whatever you wanna call it) but now most of the artists just put out music to make you dance in the club, no wordplay, no double entendres, no story telling. except only a handful of artists. (eg Drake- Started From The Bottom, 2Chainz- EVERYTHING HE'S MADE!!!) but anyway..

I think people definitely change their taste in music, but they usually broaden their musical horizon instead of narrowing it. It's quite interesting. I don't think anybody completely abandons the music they listened to when they were young, but it's added to the plethora of genres they enjoy now.
