Why is it that so many Chinese remain poor in an economy that is so large and growing so rapidly?

you could ask that about any economy really...sadly there will be people in poverty that get left behind in a booming economy I think it has to do with how the infastructure still needs to be developed. Also, the economic boom hasn't hit all of China yet I don't think
