Is there a way that you can measure the initial temperature of a solid chunk of metal that has been sitting in an ice bath? Our class 'assumed' that the temp was 0 C and we calculated specific heat of the metals... in our report we have to say how we could improve the experiment to make it more accurate. One thing I thought of was that we could more accurately measure the temp of the metal... but I don't know how or if you can even do that?
