A stone is thrown straight down from a tall building. h=-5t^2-5t+150, h in meters and t in seconds. find the height of the stone 2 seconds after it is throne? the factored form of this equation is 5(t+6)(t-5) if that helps.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

h is the height of the stone. Simply evaluate h(2).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i sub H for 2? what about the t in the equation.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

The h-t notation is not very helpful. Function notation might be more clear. h(t)=-5t^2-5t+150 Does that make it more clear? t = 2.

yes thank you :)
