what is the story?  it sounds like you have some ideas about what symbolism is. can you explain a little more so i can help?

well, i assume that you have the story.  and even if i don't , we can still work on symbols. symbols are simply objects that are used to have a deeper meaning in a story. 

they are sometimes hard to find, because in a good story they are relatively invisible (until you go looking for them).  they are one of the things that make a good story good.  

if you went looking for symbols in a bad story, you probably wouldn't find them. 

anyway, you could tell me what kinds of things you've found that you think might be symbols in your story and i could help you evaluate them. i don't need the story to do this -  as long as you can tell me your ideas about the symbol(s) and why you think they are symbols in the story.
