“Our prosperity rests on the basic [beliefs] that the work of free individuals makes a nation—and it is the job of Government to help them do the best they can... that our greatest resource is the health and skills and knowledge of our people... that older Americans... are entitled to live out their lives in dignity... that individual farmers and individual workers have a right to some protection against those forces which might deprive them of a decent income from the fruits of their labor.” According to Johnson, the primary role of government is to A protect older Americans. B provide a decent income. C support individual effort. D conserve resources.

What logical conclusion can be made from the map and graphs? The electoral vote was overwhelmingly Democrat. The electoral vote was overwhelmingly Republican. Over 90 percent of all voters chose Johnson. Goldwater carried fewer than six states.

Can you help me with Why do yo think president Kennedy demanded that construction of soviet missiles on cuba be immediately stopped? I'm trying to think of 2 more sentences to right.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Do you mean write?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Why is America worried about missiles being placed on Cuba? Cuba was now an ally of the Soviet Union. In 1961 the US had backed a failed attempt to overthrow the Cuban government. Missiles on the island would be able to reach far inside mainland America. Analysis of the photographic evidence suggested that these missiles were not just Surface To Air (SAM) missiles that are purely defensive in nature but medium range nuclear missiles: which were considered to be offensive weapons. This poses a few questions: What motives have the Soviet Union and Cuba got for placing offensive weapons on the Island? and What should be done about the development?
